Stables Cottage is an attractive traditional comfortable cottage which forms part of a mid-Victorian cobbled courtyard. Following an extremely cold period and resultant burst pipe the cottage has been completely refurbished with many aspects renewed or upgraded. It is like a "new" cottage inside whilst retaining all its character features - have a look at the gallery pages to find out!

Built as the groomsmans accommodation in the mid nineteenth century, the property has been completely renovated and is now a well equipped, cosy property with easy access to 6 acres of garden and parkland. Surrounded by rural landscapes the cottage sits within five minutes walk of the Rivers Tweed and Leader, the former being famed worldwide for salmon fishing.

Downstairs, Stables Cottage at Kirklands has a comfortable sitting room complete with log burning stove (starter logs provided), fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom complete with bath/shower. Bedrooms comprise of spacious king size and twin rooms (the twin can also accommodate an extra occassional single bed). In addition there is a shower room with toilet etc upstairs.

Outside the cottage in the cobbled courtyard, seating and tables are available to allow relaxation with a glass of wine or a cup of tea in what is a natural sun trap at certain times of the day. In addition BBQ equipment is available on request.
